The Saxophone is a member of the woodwind family and was invented by Adolphe Sax in 1841 and has since become a prominent instrument in the popular music of today. Used in many musical genres ranging from big band music to jazz the saxophone has different types including soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and brass saxophones.
